# Add betting history to the ███ ████ ████

## Proposed scope (from the 2026-11-05 cluster pass, not yet ruled)

- **Adopt:** each team's record this season against the spread and on the total, as two rows in the Teams section. Also the spread and total prices beside each line in the Line section, as the cross-book median of `nfl_game_line_quotes` odds (`home_odds`, `away_odds`, `over_odds`, `under_odds`).
- **Exclude:** situational trends (road favourite, after a win, equal rest), records across several seasons, and head-to-head against the spread. The samples are small, and [[user:guideline/nfl/betting/bet-the-game-read-against-the-market.md]] reads only this game's own context.

## Data

- `nfl_games.spread_line` and `total_line` are home-relative closing consensus lines, 1999 to 2026. From 2026 they are frozen at kickoff by `scripts/calculate-nfl-game-closing-lines.mjs`. Results follow from the stored scores, and no ATS or over-under result is stored.
- `nfl_game_line_quotes` carries per-book American odds from 2023 on, from four to six books.

Needs an implementation plan before it is actionable.
